How We Create Intricate Quilted Items

Art Quilts By Evelyn Evers prepares, pieces, and designs all items in Evelyn’s workshop. It is a smoke-free, pet-free, and perfume-free environment. We only use high-quality cotton fabrics and threads when making our quilted pieces.

For batting, we use Hobbs 80/20, Warm & Natural 100% cotton, or Soft Poly. Our bindings are double-folded (French style) and finished by hand in most cases.

Evelyn handles all the machine quilting using patterns that best suit the quilt top design. She always keeps the importance of combining colours in mind. These colours are most pleasing to the eye, especially on a finished quilt.
