About Our Owner
Evelyn’s has been into sewing and quilt-making for years. She learned from her mother, aunts, and grandmothers. In her eyes, this career came to her naturally.
Evelyn didn’t just make quilts. She also made doll clothes, prom dresses, drapes, home décor, and upholstery. Recently, her interests have taken her to quilt-making and art quilting.
She has always been interested in art. While attending a quilt show, Evelyn saw firsthand how art and sewing could be combined to create unique, beautiful, and functional items.
She now works with specialty fabrics, threads, embellishments, and embroidery. These have added a new dimension to her sewing and quilting work.
Evelyn is an active member of two guilds. She teaches classes whenever possible and shows her pieces at quilt shows and trunk shows.
Getting Started
Home economics was Evelyn’s first introduction to formal sewing classes. As new sewing techniques and machines became available over the years, she has taken many classes to develop further in her field of work. These programs covered:

Evelyn also attended workshops whenever possible to keep up with the latest methods and mingle with other artists who had similar interests.
